5. Control the intake of alcohol, beer and caffeine-containing drinks
Caffeine-containing drinks may stimulate the growth of kidney cysts, so PKD patients had better control their intake of these drinks. As for alcohol and beer, they can increase patients’ blood pressure and cause further damage to kidneys. From this reason, you had better steer away from alcohol, beer, coffee, cola and strong tea.
